New Audiology Student Study Lounge!

Our SAA chapter was awarded a $250 grant by the Academy of Audiology to fund our project of developing a study lounge for the students of Wayne State's Audiology program. The college of Liberal Arts generously provided a room on the same floor as the audiology clinic and the SAA members went to work making the space their own. Utilizing the grant and matching funds from SAA fundraising, the students spent weekends cleaning, painting, furnishing and decorating the once barren space. Thanks to the teamwork of SAA members, Audiology students now have a comfortable space to meet, study and call their own. A special thank you goes to SAA past-president, Amanda Hook, who spearheaded this project and worked tirelessly to see it come to fruition.
