ABOUT SAA
The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is the national student organization of the American Academy of Audiology. The Wayne State University SAA serves as a collective voice for students and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology. The SAA introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology and provides services, information, education, representation, and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve.
The Wayne State University Chapter of SAA was formed in 2011 and has been rapidly expanding both its campus and community involvement since that time. Chapter activities include charity fundraising events, advocacy campaigns, hearing screenings at community events, and facilitating both educational and social events for audiology students.
We welcome new members to our chapter and invite both graduate & undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in audiology to join our chapter. Simply send us a message on our contact page and we will provide you with information on how to join in on our next chapter meeting.
Below is a collection of photos from some of the events in which our SAA chapter members have had the opportunity to participate and a video our students produced about our program.
